Map and Route
Rock to Rock begins at Common Ground (358 Springside Avenue - directions), at the base of West Rock Park, and finishes at College Woods at East Rock Park. Along the way, we stop at Beaver Pond Park and Edgewood Park. Optional rides (in red on the map below) lead to the West Rock Summit and East Rock Summit.
We plotted our 8-mile route with riders of all ages and abilities in mind. It's flat, safe, and fun -- and makes use of tons of our city's best cycling resources.
If you are riding with young children, and think the full route isn't within reach, feel free to join us at Common Ground, and travel to Edgewood Park or Beaver Pond Park. We will offer a shuttle from the corner of West Rock and Whalley Avenues to Common Ground at 8:30, for families that want to park at Edgewood so they have transportation after riding from Common Ground to Edgewood. The ride from Beaver Pond back to Common Ground is relatively short and simple, for riders who want to leave the group at that point.
