Thanks all for a great Rock to Rock 2024
Thanks to 20 partner organizations and many great volunteers and sponsors we were able to take real action in response to the climate emergency, and raise critical support for local environmental organizations -- while respecting public health guidance.
Lots of Great Rides, Hikes!
On April 27th people turned out for the metric century (60 miles), 40 mile, 20-mile, 12 mile, East Rock base-to-summit ride, two mile family rides, and to hike around the base of East Rock. You choose your adventure! All rides will have staggered starts for small groups.
All options will help people explore local natural beauty, build community, have fun, and support environmental/climate projects. Rock to Rock will offer a range of ride, walk, service opportunities to allow people to safely participate in a way that is comfortable and exciting for them.
And, because they need our support for their critical work, fundraising for our Rock to Rock partners will move full speed ahead.
Many of our partners are stepping up in new ways to keep our community healthy and strong: Delivering local, fresh food; leading youth environmental education; growing food sustainably; creating green spaces; advocating for policy change; supporting local parks; promoting sustainable transportation. And all of them are continuing to step up to face the slower-moving climate emergency that's still in the background and to work in a hundred different ways to make our community greener, healthier, more welcoming, and more connected.
